The “summer of love” and the Woodstock festival in the summer of 1969 is brought to us by Zdenka Kovačiček & Greenhouse Blues Band with the Janis Joplin Project (Woodstock 50th Anniversary). Half a century has passed since one of the most important festivals in the popular culture, and the legendary songs of the cult blues-rock singer Janis Joplin will be a delightful experience for the audience in Opatija – it is a unique opportunity to hear uncompromising and energetic arrangements from the Greenhouse Blues Band and the unmistakable vocal performances of “the women for all times” – Zdenka Kovačiček.
Zdenka Kovačiček is one of the most significant singers on the Croatian music scene. After 50 years of brilliant career, she is still at the very top, but has become a legend and an inevitable part of contemporary Croatian music history, and still ahead of her are her biggest projects: theatre and concerts. She has won many awards and has performed at all of the most important festivals in this region. The list of great musicians she has collaborated with is very long and includes names such as Goran Bregović, Boško Petrović, Miljenko Prohaska, Damir Dičić, Time, Bijelo Dugme, Kornelije Kovač….
